Chinese Class Review 9/2/17

Basic Chinese - Pinyin 5 & 6. Tone Pairs and the initials zhi, chi, shi, ri, z, c, s

Homework for this week is to continue practice the tone pairs. Please review the videos below. Go slow. Accuracy is key. We noticed that many of you have trouble with the 2nd tone and 3rd tone. Please review videos of these two tones from Class Review two weeks ago.

We also learned the Special 7, the seven Pinyin initials zh, ch, sh, r, z, c, and s. Here are the videos for you to review.

JW Language - After the Greeting

We touched on the two ways of asking Yes/No questions. The first is to attach the character 吗 at the end of a statement. The second is to use the "affirmative/negative" within the statement such as 是不是 , 要不要, or 有没有. We also covered the phrases found in After the Greeting in the JW Language app.
