們（们）：an adjunct to a pronoun or noun to indicate
plurality

宝宝学圣经 (R103):

 Not much to talked about really. Notice the doubles in this chapter. Try to use them in your conversations.

Elementary Chinese (E110):

 This week we reviewed some more about Chinese numbers.

The difference between 二 and 两. Basically, when you're referring to the number 2, you'd say 二，such as 一，二，三，十二 ...etc. However, when you're counting something you'd say 两，such as两个，两位弟兄，两本杂志 ...etc. Notice that a measure word always follows 两.

The numbers 11 to 19 in Chinese are 十一，十二，十三，十四，十五，十六，十七，十八，十九，however, when it comes to the hundreds such as 111, 112, 113, you'd say 一百一十一，一百一十二，一百一十三 ...etc. Song number 117 in Chinese is 诗歌一百一十七首.

We also talked about telling time. 小时=钟头= Hour. 分钟= Minute.

不久的将来 (C209)：

This is the direct translation of "in the near future", which is a verbose way of saying "soon". Use the following instead.

不久：not long after; before too long; soon; soon after
      within a short time; shortly afterward
他的病不久就醫好了。（他的病不久就医好了）

快要：soon; before long
新世界快要到了。

即將：about to; on the point of
大會節目即將開始。（大会节目即将开始。）
蘋果新產品即將應市。（苹果新产品即将应市。）

將來：future
現在你不好好學習，將來你會後悔的。

 Not much to review here. You'll notice that in this brochure there are a lot of "doubles" such as "大大小小". You can actually use it in daily conversation.

Elementary Chinese (E109):

We review numbers in Chinese. We covered the ones, the tens, the hundreds, the thousands, the ten thousands, millions. The only tricky part starts from the ten thousands 万. 144000 would be 十四万四千.

We also review morning（上午）, afternoon（下午）, and evening（晚上）.

伤害别人的感情 (C208):

Common mistake: 我们不要伤害别人的感情。This is a bad translation of "We don't want to hurt other people's feelings." Correction: 我们不要使别人伤心。

令 SB 傷心。（令 SB 伤心）（O）

傷感（伤感）sick at heart; sentimental; sad; sorrowful

 While the reading part shouldn't be a problem for the majority of you, please pay attention to the sentence structure of Who + Verb + What (eg. 谁 + 造了 + 大地 ). Since we used the question word 谁 at the beginning of the sentence we don't need to add a 吗 at the end.

Elementary Chinese (E108):

 This week we discussed phrases related to Day（日/天）, Week（星期/礼拜/週）, Month（月）, and Year（年）

1. 前天(Day before yesterday)，昨天(yesterday)，今天(today)，明天(tomorrow)，后天(Day after tomorrow)

Field Service (F107):

 This week we discussed how to respond to the potential conversation stopper “我不需要”( I don't need it ), which you are going to hear a lot in the Chinese field. We can counter that with “为什么你觉得你不需要呢？” or say “你对这件事有什么感觉？” as a diversion.

New character 件 is a measure word. 一件事情 (a matter)，一件衣服 (a piece of clothing)，etc.

Elementary Chinese (E107):

 This week we discussed the basic sentence structures in Chinese.

1. Subject + verb + object. For instance: 上帝 + 爱 + 世人 。

2. Subject + time + verb + object. For instance: 我们 + 星期四 + 去 + 聚会 。

3. Subject + time + how + verb + object. For instance: 我们 + 星期四 + 走路 + 去 + 聚会 。

The most important point in this lesson is that the time always comes before the verb in Chinese.

OUR SUNDAY MEETINGS TIMES ARE CHANGING NEXT YEAR. It's still unofficial but our meeting time on Sunday in 2016 is most likely to be 4PM. That means we also have to move the classes to another time.
